Business Controller BUSP (Business Unit Services & Performance)

Position Summary

The position reports to the BUSP Controlling organization and has two main goals. Firstly, to contribute to closing and planning activities of the BSA Business Unit Services & Performance (BUSP). Secondly, support the BUSP Controlling organization in the implementation of the financial side of the Transformation Program.
By its nature, the position requires a high level of financial expertise applied to the industrial manufacturing and service environment. This also implies a strong capacity to conduct cross functional reviews throughout the Group organization, in more than 15 countries.
Main Responsibilities

BSA BUSP Closing & Planning activities
  • Monthly closing activities: accruals, reporting, Management P&L, variances analysis.
  • Planning activities: budget and forecast process, in conjunction with the stakeholders across the organization.
  • Active contribution to continuous improvement by reviewing and optimizing the current processes, in collaboration with main stakeholders.
  • If required, ad hoc analysis.

Transformation Program
  • Monitoring of the business case included costs savings analyze, to measure goal achievement.
  • Support the BUSP Controlling organization in the project management of the financial side of the Transformation Program.
  • Definition and implementation of new KPIs and reportings (supply chain, FTE, services…) to provide our stakeholders with robust tools to support them in their decisions.
Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with multiple legal Entities and Business Units in multiple countries.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Senior and Middle-Level Management.
  • Result oriented with strong business partnering skills and mentality.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Drive and self-motivation with the ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Controlling.
  • At least 5 to 10 years’ experience gained in Industrial Multinational Companies.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP FI CO, of Business Intelligence (BI) and of one consolidation tool (e.g. SAP BOFC).
  • Fluent French and English (written and spoken), German and/or Italian a serious advantage

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
